Shadow Creek

No doubt about it, Shadow Creek has energy-lots and lots of raw energy! Combining the personalities of this five-member band has resulted in an exciting, high spirited sound, whether it is traditional, contemporary, or gospel. With spontaneous finesse, Shadow Creek entertains with toe-tapping, foot-stomping energy and contagious vitality.

Shadow Creek includes Jim Bullard on guitar and vocals, Kathy Feryok on mandolin and vocals, Nicole Feryok on fiddle and vocals, David Feryok on acoustic bass, and Johnny Duncan on banjo. They are presently touring in Kansas, Oklahoma, Iowa, Arkansas, Missouri, Texas, Louisiana, and Kentucky, and have great enthusiasm for the other states too! They were thrilled to be selected by the IBMA Showcase Talent Committee to perform at the 2001 World of Bluegrass Trade Show in Louisville, KY for their fans, professional peers, talent buyers, radio and television broadcasters, agents, record labels, associations, the press and other artists.

Jim Bullard, bluegrass veteran, plays guitar with an incredible and exciting up-tempo style as well as rocks the vocal pace with fantastic, unique, high lonesome lead and baritone vocals. Kathy Feryok resonates a strong percussive rhythm with her high energy mandolin chops and sings and picks with fearless soul. Fiddling with stunning skill, Nicole Feryok demonstrates unbelievable control on rapid-fire breaks, sings with sensitivity, and is the 1999 Kansas State Fiddle Champion. David Feryok on acoustic bass delivers an explosive heartbeat and grounds the band with warmth, tone, and passionate accompaniment. An outstanding five string banjo player, Johnny Duncan propels the band right out to the edge with an awesome, hard-driving syncopated style.

Shadow Creek's identity is a love of music with rolling waves of imaginative arrangements and tight harmonies crashing on a beach of bluegrass tradition. Treasuring gospel music, Shadow Creek is consumed with sincere emotion and reverence for the message. This band grabs attention with a unique and varied sound to provide universal appeal and charisma. Sporting an unidentifiable formula for success, Shadow Creek's adrenaline charged personality ignites the stage with magic!
